Test series against England, Shaheen Shah out of the squad

The consultation for the national squad for the Test series between Pakistan and England will be held this week.

Sources say that Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be included in the Test squad, he suffered a knee injury again in the final of T20 World Cup, he will undergo scans on his return home.

According to sources, fast bowler Haris Rauf will make his debut in the Test series against England, while fast bowler Muhammad Abbas is also being consulted on joining the Test squad.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed is likely to be included in the Test squad and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed is unlikely to retain a place in the Test squad.

Sources say that due to the political party’s long march and protest, there will also be a consultation on the venue, PCB will take a decision regarding the venue as per the government’s advice, England Cricket Board will take guidance from security expert Reg Dickson.

It should be noted that the series of 3 Test matches between Pakistan and England will start from December 1, England’s Test team will reach Islamabad on the morning of November 27.

The first Test between Pakistan and England is scheduled at the Rawalpindi Stadium.
