Squash has no place in Pakistan like in the past: Jan Sher Khan

Former world squash champion John Sher Khan has said that after his retirement, Pakistan has lost its place in the game as it did in the past.

He expressed these views while talking on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Inter-Divisional Squash Championship in Lahore.

Jan Sher Khan said that new talent and champions would emerge only by conducting squash events at the lower level.

A two-day inter-divisional squash championship was played at Punjab Squash Complex. Sohail Adnan won in U-11, Fasih-ur-Rehman in U-13, Abdullah Butt in U-15 and Azlan Khawar in U-17.

On this occasion, the special guest Jan Sher Khan said that there is a lot of talent in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but after his retirement, Pakistan did not have a place in squash like in the past.

He said that events would have to be held across the country and not in one or two cities.
