Due to rain, the fifth day’s play started with a delay of four and a half hours and only 32 overs of play was possible. Due to the frequent interruptions in the game, the England team could play only one innings in this match and faced a total of 43.1 overs. England scored 110 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

Earlier, during the ongoing Test at Old Trafford, rain interrupted the day, 46 overs could be bowled on the first day and only 40 overs on the second day, while no over could not be bowled on the third day due to rain. Mohammad Rizwan played a brilliant innings of 72 runs.
