The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given special permission to 10 Sri Lankan players to come to Pakistan to participate in the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had applied to the CAA for PSL players.

The CAA allowed 10 players to visit Pakistan at the request of the PCB.

Director Air Transport Irfan Sabir issued notification of arrival of Sri Lankan players.

The notification said that the players would arrive in Karachi on a Qatar Airways flight and would fully implement the SOPs.

The players will leave Lahore for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a chartered flight on May 26 after completing vaccinations and quarantine in Pakistan.

It should be noted that due to corona virus, Pakistan has divided the countries into different categories regarding travel restrictions.

Among them, travelers from Category C countries, including Sri Lanka, are barred from entering Pakistan.

It may be recalled that the Pakistan Cricket Board has received approval to hold the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 6 in Abu Dhabi.

The tournament is expected to start in Abu Dhabi on June 5 and the final of the event is likely to take place on June 20. However, the final schedule is expected to be announced by the PCB soon.
