Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Lahore Qalandars have announced the young players to be selected from the Players Development Program.
Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana said that Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi’s father Ayaz Khan Afridi will give scholarships to 5 players while captain Shaheen Afridi said that he is grateful to Lahore Qalandars for giving scholarships.
Atif Rana, CEO of Lahore Qalandars in Lahore, along with COO Samin Rana, Head Aqib Javed and Captain Shaheen Afridi, told a news conference that more than 10,000 youths participated in the Players Development Program.
He said that 19 players of Team of 22 have been decided, three players will be announced later, good talent has emerged from all over the country. The scholarship for five youths has been named after Ayaz Khan Afridi, father of Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi.
COO Lahore Qalandars says that this time the pathway program has been designed differently for 22 youths. Lahore Qalandars head coach Aqib Javed says that the grounds in big cities have been reduced and this time more talent has been found from remote areas.
