New Delhi (Daily Pakistan Online) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to hold a farewell match for former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
According to the details, an official of the Indian Cricket Board says that there is no international series at the moment so after the Indian Premier League (IPL) we will see what we can do, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s much for Indian cricket. There are services and they deserve respect.
“We have always wanted to hold a farewell match for him but Dhoni is a different player who announced his retirement at a time when no one could think, the board will talk to him about it,” he said.
It should be noted that there has always been controversy over the farewell match on the retirement of cricketers in Pakistan and even Shahid Khan Afridi did not get a farewell match even though he wanted it while many former cricketers have also raised the point that retired cricketers should get farewell match.
