Trent Boult dropped from New Zealand team for not taking contract

Fast bowler Trent Boult was dropped from the New Zealand squad due to non-contract.

According to a foreign news agency, Trent Bolt left the contract this year due to league agreements.

New Zealand cricket team coach Gary Stead says it was not easy to drop veterans Trent Boult and Martin Guptill, now the team has to look ahead.

“When Bolt left the contract, we indicated that priority would be given to those who are under contract,” coach Gary Stead said.

He said that this is the reason for dropping Trent Bolt.

He also said that we are aware of Trent Bolt’s world-class abilities but have to give others a chance for future events.

It should be noted that New Zealand Cricket has announced the squads for the white ball series against India.

The series between New Zealand and India will start from Friday, the series consists of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs, Kane Williamson will lead both the squads.

T20 matches will be played on 18, 20 and 22 while ODI matches will be played on 25, 27 and 30 November.
